Learn about MOSH
About the affordable senior housing non-profit corporation
What sets MOSH apart is simple: it’s run by the community, for the community. There are no application fees, and every prospective resident is welcomed with the same care and respect, whether they’re moving down the road or across the region. Whether you’re exploring options for yourself or a loved one, MOSH is here to answer questions and help you understand what home could look like next.
Our Story
Affordable Senior Housing Since 1980
The Stanley Senior Apartment Building is a great place to live. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy. A very active residence with [tenant organized] dinner parties, bingo, cards, bingo, coffee hours, exercise and monthly entertainment.
Growing older shouldn't mean leaving behind everything familiar
For seniors in Metcalfe and Osgoode, that has often been the trade-off: stay in the community you’ve always known, or find housing you can actually afford. MOSH exists to close that gap.
As a non-profit, MOSH isn't answering to shareholders or chasing a profit margin
Every decision, from what a unit costs to how a resident is welcomed through the door, is made with one goal in mind: helping people age in the place they call home. That means real affordability, not just a marketing line, no application fees, and a straightforward path in.
Home is more than four walls
It’s the neighbour who waves from the porch, the shop where someone remembers your name, the pace of a small town that doesn’t rush anyone along. MOSH’s role is to make sure that growing older in rural south Ottawa doesn’t come at the cost of leaving all of that behind.
